Target Audience: Licensed Clinical Social Workers and other behavioral health practitioners Content level: All levels CE credits: 3 (Clinical) About the Course This training provides social workers with a practical foundation in sex therapy, grounded in social work ethics, accessibility, and anti-oppressive practice. Participants will learn core sex therapy principles, inclusive sexual assessment strategies, and foundational couples therapy concepts while critically examining how dominant sexual norms create harm for marginalized communities. This training centers disabled, Autistic, ADHD, chronically ill, and LGBTQIA+ experiences without pathologizing differences. Content is designed to be accessible and applicable for social workers across practice settings, regardless of prior training in sexuality or sex therapy. This course was recorded in February 2026. Learning Objectives At the conclusion of this webinar participants will be able to: 1. Identify at least three core principles of sex therapy and explain their relevance to ethical social work practice. 2. Apply inclusive and accessible sexual assessment strategies with individuals and couples from marginalized communities. 3. Differentiate between pathologizing and affirming clinical approaches to sexuality across disability, Autistic, ADHD, chronic illness, and LGBTQIA+ identities. 4. Demonstrate foundational understanding of couples therapy concepts related to intimacy, desire, communication, and consent. Registration The cost is $100 for for non-members. This program will be available for purchase indefinitely, but will be updated for current content every 5 years at a minimum. Upon purchase, access to the course for the purchasing individual will be available for one year. Course interaction & CE completion requirements This course is a recorded asynchronous distance learning course and is completely online utilizing the CSWA On-Demand website platform via Thinkific.com. This course is noninteractive. To earn 3 CE credits, participants are required to watch the full course recording, complete and pass an online post-test with a minimum 70% score, and complete a course evaluation. Registrants may re-take the test as many times as is needed. Certificates of completion will be automatically provided once the above requirements have been completed. System Requirements Registrants may use a computer/laptop, tablet or phone to view the course, and built-in or external speakers to listen to the course using the CSWA On-Demand website via Thinkific.com. A fast internet connection is recommended. No additional online platforms or additional physical devices are required. Additional Information About Viewing the Recording Please note that you will not be able to rewind or fast-forward through the recorded program. Pausing will be the only feature allowed during the viewing of the program. Closed captions are automatic but can be disabled or adjusted for personal preference. Meet the Instructor, Dr. Tiff Lanza, LCSW
Dr. Tiff Lanza, LCSW, M.Ed., CST, CSE (they/them) is a licensed clinical social worker. They are a certified sex therapist, certified sex educator, and activist. Dr. Lanza is the executive director of Maverique Therapeutic Services, where they provide individual therapy, professional training, supervision, and consultation through an explicitly anti oppressive, anti-ableist, and liberation focused lens. Their work centers LGBTQIA+, Autistic, ADHD, physically disabled, intellectually disabled, and chronically ill communities; with a strong focus on trauma work and sexuality. Dr. Lanza is known for translating complex clinical concepts into practical, accessible, and ethically grounded practice while challenging systems that perpetuate harm. Dr. Lanza teaches nationally and is committed to dismantling stigma, gatekeeping, and pathologization within sexuality and mental health spaces.
