About the course
As many are aware, the implementation of the Social Work Licensure Compact is getting closer. Many questions remain about the way that the Compact will work for State Boards, for individual members, and for the Commission that oversees the Compact. This webinar is one of a series held by CSWA to keep members and the field of Clinical Social Work apprised of the answers to these questions. This webinar will discuss the following questions and more: - What is the Commission and how does it oversee the Social Work Licensure Compact? - Which states have joined the Compact so far? - How will LCSWs join the interstate Social Work Licensure Compact? - How can LCSWs encourage their states to join the Social Work Licensure Compact? - What is the timeline for implementation of the Social Work Licensure Compact? - What will the fees be to join the Social Work Licensure Compact? - Will Compact members need to meet the continuing education standards for all Compact states? There will be time for Q and A at the end of the webinar. This webinar will be presented by Laura Groshong, LICSW, CSWA Director of Policy and Practice, who currently sits on the Compact Commission as an Ex Officio Member, and has been directly involved in the development of the Compact over the past three years. The webinar will be moderated by CSWA President and CEO, Stephanie Payne, LCSW. Please note that this program is not eligible for CEs. *Information about the Social Work Compact can be found 24-7 at https://swcompact.org/. This webinar is simply an additional resource hosted by CSWA.
